Asset Searches
No one enjoys an exercise in futility. Yet, attaining judgment status without any means of recovering the damages is, indeed, just that. So, to be sure that there is something to gain by filing the law suit you should have an asset search done in advance of filing.
Sure, insurance may be available in some cases, but it may not be adequate to cover the loss. Where there is no insurance coverage, an asset search lets you know the defendant’s holdings and provides impetus to litigate.
